YUNGBLUD Introduces Atlanta to a New Era of Pop-Punk
YUNGBLUD opened with a high-energy performance of “21st Century Liability” that had the crowd screaming his name. Rocking his signature pink socks and smudged eyeliner, the Brit had all eyes on him as he continued with songs from his self-titled album.
Throwing two cups of beer into the crowd, the 25-year-old continued with “The Funeral,” “Tissues,” and “parents” - all anthems about the underrated youth and their refusal to be shaped into society’s mold. Throughout the concert, Yungblud engaged with the audience and encouraged them to sing and dance along. His depth as an artist was evident as he transitioned from song to song seamlessly and the energy became higher and higher. The Atlanta crowd never missed a beat and a fan choice led to a performance of “Psychotic Kids.” A breath of fresh air in the industry, YUNGBLUD is the future of pop-punk. His lyricism tells stories full of pain and pleasure and his journey from a broken home to under the stage light.
