EXCLUSIVE: misskayshak chats about what inspired them to write their new music, their dream venue to perform at, and MORE

misskayshak also known as MK (born Acacia Caroline Kaltenberger) is a 20-year-old Bedfordshire-based, multi-disciplinary artist and performer, self-taught songwriter, musician, producer, and engineer.

Influenced by a plethora of both new and old-school artists and creatives, MK's music and personality are refreshing, maintaining familiarity while taking a candid approach towards the alternative side of Hip-Hop and R&B, dabbling in much more along the way.

MK started with over 10 years of musical theatre training before weaving their way to 4th place on The X Factor 2018.

MK has since become independent, taking time to learn the art of music production and songwriting on their own accord, eventually composing an album of 8 tracks, spanning over 4 years of work. "Inertia,” MK's debut EP, is an ode to the years they had spent on hiatus, where they came to the harrowing realization that they were the only person who could make anything happen for themselves.
